How to stop your kitten from biting

I ask this question in Siamese-Cats page in Facebook because kimi bites a lot and we cannot take it anymore. Kimi bad behavior might be resulting from my mistake, who always use my hands to fish him to play when we first took him in. Besides hands, finger, i also use my feet and toes instead of proper toys. 

From all the comment in Facebook, it came down to this 10 best way to stop your kitten from biting :

1. Get them toys to chew. 

2. Scream NO loudly, its irritating for their ears. 

3. Flicked on the nose with a firm NO

4. Hold their bottom jaw briefly, quickly tell them no biting and release

5. Don't use your hands as toys

6. Get them another kitten or cat to play with

7. Never play rough, stop playing until the kitten calm down and then resume

8. Use water bottle to spray their face when they bite. 

9. Use cardboard box, make a hole in it for them to play and chew. 

10. They might be teething

We believe that kimi was teething and his bites wasn't so bad at first and it seems playful. But now since he's growing, his bites getting harder and more painful. The best way with kimi is by giving him toys to bite. I gave him teddy bear his size and now another bunny where he drag all around with him (that bunny is bigger than him). When i gave it to him i can see that he bite the bunny and wrestle it all he want. 

Living with cantik also allows him to have friend and play. Even though cantik is old and not interested to play anymore, she still entertain him or at least let him bites and annoyed her. She's such an angel :D

Screaming NO loudly help Kimi to stop for 10 seconds before continued, especially if he got so much energy and in a mood to play. During this time it's best to hide my hands and stop playing with him. He will get the idea that i didn't want to play anymore and move to something more interesting around the house.

We still work on making him stop but i wish he will out grow it. My mom told me not to pull my hands when he bite to let him know that we allow him to play with us. Sometimes when we pull our hand, he sees it as aggressive move which make him start to become aggressive himself. 

It doesn't matter kimi bites or not, we still love him like crazy. I will try all the recommendations and see if its going to work with him, its good enough if we can lessen his bad habit. 

Miss my Mohd Kimi

We send Kimi to my parents during our trip to Kuching early July and until today Kimi been living with them. The reason we send him to my parents is, i prefer to have my dad look after him and he can have big space to move around and play instead of condo style cage. My mom was a bit reluctant to take extra cat at first and scared that cantik won't like kimi either and they get into fight. So we do trial for everybody and thank good everybody love him, even cantik. :D

After one month living with them, my parents get quite attach with kimi and love him dearly. Because of my dad, kimi didn't want to eat tuna anymore and choose seafood cocktails all the time. Kimi was initially used sand to released himself but then mom teach him to do it in the bathroom since it easier to clean. 

Kimi is a big boy now and i miss him so much. We've been so busy with wedding preparation which make it impossible to take care of him since he is an indoor cat. Its been 2 months now and since the wedding will be in sept and we also going to bali afterwards, the earlier's we can take kimi back is early October. OMG, mom definitely wont let us take him back since they already love him. Dad spend a lot of time playing with him after they get back from work and even cantik already accept him and play with him .

My engagement ring

I wasn't a fan of jewelry. If you see me with accessories it might be an earrings or cheap rings. Growing up in typical malay family i've seen the entire female relatives going oooohhhh and ahhhh over anything gold. They even compare with each other who has bigger necklace, more rings or wider bracelet. Me, i don't like it at all. I don't even wear watch so i never fancy accessorize on my body UNTIL....

Nico get me an engagement ring. It was a simple 0.18 carat (yea it small) round cut diamond ring and seeing the brilliant diamond shine all day, drive me crazy. Seriously, i believe any woman will agree with me that no one can say no to diamond no matter how small it is. Its indeed a precious stone that even Gollum from the movie "Lord of The Ring" will treasure.

I didn't know anything about diamond and i didn't care how big it is as long its look nice on me. Friend been advising me to get bigger stone and i will definitely satisfied. But i plan to start slow, lets start from small stone and upgrade. I have an entire life to collect these precious stone. And my sayang won't have headache to get me present every valentines, birthday and xmas since he know now what i love. Isn't it sayang....

So, My first diamond ring is 0.18 carat, 57 facet, round cut ring. Round cut diamond is the most popular choice because of brilliant shine, elegant look and classic piece. I hope i will get the 101 facet diamond one day. It definitely will blind me..wink wink 

36 days until our big day

Stressed gila, today will be 36 days before our wedding...36!!!. So far everything goes well, everything booked and prepared and only have few more things to settle. 

Everybody ask if im ready to get marry, to become wife and my reply was "I feel ok but i am stressed because in one month everything have to settle". At the moment i haven't submit form to jabatan agama, don't even get signature from imam yet but thankfully nico's paper already approved and i hope by next week everything will be ok. 

Sekarang ni datang office, morning buat kerja petang buat apa yg patut utk wedding. Nak dijadikan cerita harini tertinggal USB kat umah so sah2 la tak leh buat apa, oleh kerana tu rajin la nak complaint kat sini. Geram sey..

I plan to continue doing tentative program today which i left half way yesterday, need to update my guest list, start doing seating arrangement chart but cannot. So i guess i have to find something else in order not to lose momentum. Maybe can continue downloading songs for reception, asking around who willing to be my emcee and pengapit for the malay part or select picture for montage. Even songs selection give me headache since we plan to do 1st half malay style and 2nd half french style. Need to entertain both side of guest and i was thinking to have some unique and not so typical wedding. So yeah, all the best to me....

Masa serabut camni la teringat movie wedding planner starring Jennifer Lopez. Planning for other people wedding ok lagi kot compare to prepare your own wedding. Ye la kan, bagi je duit kat orang and i can simply said i want exactly like this, habis cerita. Lagipun aku ni cerewet kot, perfectionist yg akhirnye nyusahkan diri sendiri. Jgn tiba hari majlis, aku nk micro manage everything sudah, mmg haru la jawapnye...but i believe if its well prepared, clear instruction, semua org yg membantu di hari persandingan nanti boleh paham dan dapat menjalankan tugas dengan jayanye....pergh, confident..ahahaahah

Nasib baik ada wedding check list apps sbb handphone smart kan, senang sket dlm train, teksi boleh tengok2. Ni baru cite wedding preparation, blom cite preparation nak received 20 pax of guest dari France. Mana nak sediakan rumah utk semua org, kereta utk diaorg pergi masjid and majlis. Lagi best, on monday after wedding, kitaorg bawak these 20 pax of guest gi jalan2 Bali. Bukan honeymoon, cuma bawak diaorg berjalan since dh dtg jauh2 dr france takkan attend wedding je kan. So another headache nak booked flight, carik villa, transport kat bali, program kat sana for 20 pax. Gila tak gila la kan. Orang lain buat wedding prepare je, yg kitaorg bukan je wedding, tapi vacation ngan receiving skali. Nasib baik yg Bali tu kitaorg dh settle awal2, tp mmg serabut la bila pikir bab duit. Semua nak booked, semua nak bayar, semua nak keluar duit. Haduyai...

Kitaorg buat semua ni tak harapkan org. First of all tak nak nyusahkan org, pastu doesnt want to depends on others, semua kitaorg buat sendiri. Mintak tolong guest suruh confirm attendance je pun azab rasanye. Anyway, i hope everything goes well. So far, me and nico are a good team even though there's few time we have disagreement and difficulties. Alhamdulillah that god help us for smooth preparation so far and few minor test which we can handle. Ganbatte Ivy!!!!

Our Official Wedding : Interview at France Embassy

I write this immediately after we get back from France embassy at Jalan Ampang KL. We went there for interview purpose in order to get marry. I ask Nico what the purpose of this interview since we are not applying for spouse visa and he said he ask people from embassy and they cannot really explain it either. Basically it just an interview asking for permission to get married. The interview took around 30min and we will get our certificate after 2-3 weeks. So i'm not really sure if there's a possibility that our request to get marry is going to be rejected by his embassy or not. 

The woman then explain to us how they conduct the interview and one of us have to wait outside at the waiting room. So Nico went outside and i was the first one who been interviewed.

3. Can you speak french?

4. Can you write in french?

5. Have you been to France?

6. Do you have family member in France?

7. Do you have any problem in France when you come for a visit?

8. Do you need visa?

9. What his work?

11. Do he have any other side income besides this job?

12. Are you live together or separately?

13. If together who pay for the rent?

14. Where you going to live after married?

15. What language he speak?

16. What language you use to communicate?

17. What is his phone no?

18. When his birth date?

19. Where he born?

20. Where his parents live?

21. Do he have any brother and sister, have you meet them?

22. Where did you travel together and when?

23. Have you ever try to marry French man before? (i found this question funny)

24. Are you married before and have kids?

25. Do you see any problem with age different?

26. Are you going to do party for your wedding?

27. Who paying for the wedding?

28. Is his family coming for the wedding?

29. Is your family knows that you getting married?

As i remembered, this is all the question she asked me. Quite a lot huh? She interviewed me and key in all the information on her computer. Basically she also ask Nico the same question but his session finish fast because Nico answer was mostly yes or no...huhuhuhu
